We set out to incorporate the atmosphere of the Shonan area by giving the store an open, expansive feel.
With the tenant’s lot offering natural lighting on both sides, we sought to give this space the pleasant feel of shopping outdoors by adding a ‘courtyard’ at its center to offset the brightly illuminated exterior, drawing in the greenery and light from outside.
By lowering the height of all other fixtures, we wanted to draw the eye towards the courtyard and the world outside.
